We go every summer. My kids are 15 & 17 now, but when they were little, the big thrill was being tall enough to go up to the light. We still love climbing down the dunes.

One of the most recognizable landmarks in the area. It took us ages to get around to actually visiting it, but it was a very fun and memorable experience. It's a beautiful spot and we learned a lot here about lighthouses.

We came here while we were on a vacation last summer, and I was just remembering the other day how beautiful it was! We bought a few souvenirs at the shop, and every time I look at them, I miss my time in Long Island. I hope we can get back to see the lighthouse someday soon.

Even though we've been around here for ages, for some reason we never headed up to the lighthouse. I thought it was a touristy thing to do, but we were missing out. We learned a lot of history, and we took so many great photos. It's a really scenic spot, well worth taking the time to check out, even if you live ni the area.

I love historical lighthouses, so when I was visiting LI, I couldn't pass up the chance to see one. I've visited other lighthouses, down in North Carolina, but none of them were open for tours. You can actually go inside this one. It was amazing!

We had a really fun time visiting the Montauk Point Lighthouse the other week. Even though we live on the island, we never actually took the time to go and enjoy the tour. The kids had a blast learning about history, and it really is a beautiful spot. We purchased some gifts at the gift shop for our relatives across the country.

While we were on LI, we wanted to see some historical sights. The Montauk Point Lighthouse is one of the oldest lighthouses in America. They let you go inside too, and take a tour of the different rooms. It was really cool learning how an old lighthouse worked, and imagining what it would have been like to be a lighthouse keeper back in the day of tall ships. If you are into nautical history, this is a must-see stop. They also have a lovely gift store, perfect for picking up some souvenirs to remember your vacation.
