Suozzi, Zeldin, Sworn In This Week For New Terms in Congress

“It is a tremendous honor to serve as a Member of Congress. New York, our country, and the world face serious challenges and I am devoted to addressing the problems that we face. I will work hard. I will work across party lines and do everything I can to deliver for the people I serve,” said Congressman Suozzi. “We are living in unprecedented times. Working alongside the Biden Administration and both Democrats and Republicans in the House, I will work to bring money to New York, to restore the SALT deduction, to address the problems of healthcare, the economy, immigration, income disparity, climate change, and to ‘Build Back Better.’”

“It is an incredible privilege to represent the great, hardworking Long Islanders of New York’s First Congressional District, and I was honored to be sworn in for my 4th term in Congress,” said Congressman Zeldin. “In just the last two years, I have fought day after day to deliver historic wins for my constituents, including saving Plum Island, steering the $2 billion Electron-Ion Collider dream machine to Brookhaven National Lab, delivering billions of dollars in local infrastructure projects, securing millions of pieces of PPE for our local front line workers to finish the fight against coronavirus, and so much more. We’re not slowing down, and I look forward to continuing to deliver on the priorities most important to Long Islanders for years to come.”
