The First Squad reports the arrest of a Uniondale man for a Burglary that occurred at on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 3:02 a.m. in Uniondale.
According to Detectives, Officers responded to the Rosy’s Beauty Salon located at 678 Jerusalem Avenue and observed a glass break to the front door. Officers conducted a search and found defendant Jose Portillo Sandoval, 36, of 403 Jerusalem Avenue inside the salon attempting to flee the scene on foot.
The defendant was intercepted by Officers at scene and he was placed under arrest without further incident. Proceeds recovered included $558.00 US currency. Defendant Jose Portillo Sandoval was also found to be responsible for a Burglary that occurred on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Liberty Tax located at 536 Uniondale Avenue.
Defendant Jose Portillo Sandoval is being charged with two counts of Burglary 3 rd degree and two counts Criminal Mischief 3 rd degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
