February Forecasting: Groundhog Day 2017 Events on Long Island
With Groundhog Day just around the corner, soon Long Islanders will find out what the rest of the winter has in store for them thanks to the predictions of some local furry meteorologists, like Holtsville Hal and Malverne Mel. According to tradition, if the groundhog emerges and does not see his shadow, an early spring is on it’s way, but if the groundhog does see their shadow, it’s time to bundle up for another six weeks of winter. No matter what the weather prediction results are though, there’s plenty of events happening leading up to, and on the day of, Groundhog day.
Take a look at the upcoming events taking place on Long Island all about Groundhog Day!
