The First Squad reports the arrest of a Dix Hills man for a Public Lewdness incident that occurred on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2:40 p.m. in Uniondale.
According to Detectives, Defendant Willian Portillo Melara, 29, of 3 Foxridge Circle, was sitting inside his white Honda Pilot, parked on Dale Place near Smith Street, in the vicinity of the Smith Street School. The defendant was observed exposing and touching himself inappropriately by a 22-year-old female victim. The victim went across the street to the school to inform security about the incident.
The security guard approached the vehicle and the defendant left the scene, traveling westbound on Smith Street. After a thorough investigation, the defendant was arrested on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 12:44 p.m. by First Squad Detectives.
Defendant Willian Portillo Melara is charged with Public Lewdness. He was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
