As part of a recent coat drive to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, in conjunction with the Elmont/Franklin Square Rotary Club, collected over 75 bags of much needed winter coats to benefit Long Island's needy during the cold, winter months. Elmont School District residents, local community businesses and Bethpage Elmont Branch employees helped support the coat drive, which took place just outside of Bethpage's Elmont Branch.
Bethpage supports many health and wellness issues that impact Long Islanders, including addressing the needs of the underserved, said Linda Armyn, Senior Vice President, Bethpage Federal Credit Union. We are happy to have helped make an impact with the coat drive, during what is turning out to be a very snowy and cold winter season.
We are deeply appreciative to Bethpage for helping facilitate this coat drive for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and helping the Elmont/Franklin Square Rotary Club further its mission to help the less fortunate, said Mike Iglio, President, Elmont/Franklin Square Rotary Club.
