The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a Vessel fire that occurred on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 12:30 AM in Port Manorhaven.
 
According to Detectives, Officers responded to Manhasset Bay Marina located at 10 Matinecock Avenue for an unoccupied 43-foot Marine Trader boat fully engulfed. The fire spread to a nearby 42-foot Post Boat. The Port Washington Fire Department along with multiple other local Fire Departments responded to extinguish the fire. Both vessels sank and a 58-year-old male was taken to a local area hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation. The Nassau County Fire Marshall, Arson Bomb Squad and Marine Bureau responded to the scene.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
