The owner of Krung Tep Thai Bistro has reopened in the same spot with a new name, JaydSiri Thai Bistro. They say they are offering the same great Thai food you have come to expect but with better recipes.

For appetizers, the Duck Spring Rolls with carrots, taro, cabbage and glass noodles are a good pick ($10) along with the traditional Thai Dumpling “Chaw Muang,” with marinated minced chicken, onion, garlic, cilantro, and pepper in rice flour paper ($12).

Try the Pad Thai or their Drunken Noodle “pad Kee Mao,” which is spicy, with egg, string beans, white onions, bok choy, bell peppers, chili peppers and Thai basil. You can also get their Thai Fried Rice, which is a Bankok-style fried rice sauteed with egg, Asian broccoli, tomatoes, onions, scallions and garlic. Both are served with chicken, veggie, tofu, steak fish or shrimp ($16-18).

On Yelp, Jennifer R gave it five stars.

“It was my first time at this local Thai spot,” she said. “The place itself is modern and small, but comfortable. I will def be back - you can tell they want their customers to have a good experience and appreciate your business.”

Seth B, from Plainview, also loved it.

“What's old is new again,” he said. “The original owner of the old Krung tep is back and has restored this Thai place to its former glory. Very friendly and outgoing. The curry is the star of the show and def try the khao soi. You will not be disappointed.”
