(WOODBURY, NY, January 31, 2012) - News 12 Long Island today announced that award-winning news anchor Stacey Bell will join its on-air team as co-anchor of the weekday evening newscasts. Ms. Bell will make her debut on the News 12 Long Island anchor desk beside co-anchor Stone Grissom on Tuesday, January 31 at 5:00 p.m.
"Stacey Bell is a well-respected news anchor with a wealth of experience on the desk and in the field, and we're delighted to have her join the News 12 Long Island evening anchor team," said Patrick Dolan, President of News 12 Networks. Ms. Bell spent 14 years as an anchor / reporter at WJW-TV in Cleveland, Ohio. During this time she received two Emmy Awards and the "Personality of the Year" award from the Ohio Association of Broadcasters in 2003. Prior to working at WJW, Ms. Bell spent three years at KSLA-TV in Shreveport, Louisiana as an anchor/reporter. Ms. Bell received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Arkansas.
