(Port Jefferson Station, NY) - Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, Inc. is urging those who are looking to get a unique Valentine's Day present for that special someone to give a very special gift - the gift of life. For the week of February 14, many cats and dogs will be available for adoption from Save-A-Pet at discounted rates. Cat adoptions will be $14 and $50 for dogs. All are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Prospective pet owners can learn about the benefits of adoption over buying animals from retail pet stores and about responsible pet ownership. "Those who are looking beyond chocolate and flowers as gifts for their Valentine can bring home the gift of life," said Dori Scofield, President/Founder, Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, Inc. "You are not only showing your love for your significant other, but for your new pet as well. Giving a pet a forever home is the best Valentine's Day gift they can receive." Save-A-Pet is located at 608 Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station.
