Amityville Man Arrested in Overdose Probe with Significant Narcotics Seizure in Levittown

The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of an Amityville man during an overdose investigation that occurred on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 3:11 pm in Levittown.
 
According to Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives, an investigation into a fatal overdose of a Nassau County resident, led to the arrest of Maurice Leake, 55. Detectives placed the defendant under arrest without incident.
 
Subsequent to the arrest, the defendant was found to be in possession of 3 plastic bags containing Cocaine, 39 plastic bags containing Crack-Cocaine and 14 plastic bags containing Heroin.
 
Defendant Leake is charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3 rd Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.
 
He will be arraigned on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
