Police Crack Down on Illegal Vape Sales to Minors, Four Arrested in Suffolk County

Four individuals were arrested for selling vape products and cannabis to minors at businesses in Patchogue, Sayville, and Oakdale.

Suffolk County Police arrested four people yesterday for selling vape products to minors at businesses in Patchogue, Sayville, and Oakdale.
 
In response to community complaints, Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers conducted an investigation into the sale of vape products to minors during which six businesses were checked for compliance with the law and violations were found at four.
 
The following people were charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 2nd Degree:
 
• Kiera Onur, 25, of West Babylon, an employee of 76 Gas, located at 292 Railroad Ave.,Sayville.
• Cuma Dogan, 37, of Bay Shore, an employee of Star Mart, located at 7 Oakdale-Bohemia Road, Oakdale.
• Muhammad Abdullah, 22, of Selden, an employee of J Mart, located at 580 Medford Ave., Patchogue.
• David Ebanks, 24, of Coram, an employee of Organically Connected, located at 18 Railroad Ave.,
Patchogue, was charged with Criminal Sale of Cannabis 3rd Degree.
 
All four were issued Field Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to appear for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
