AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. The toll free number is 1 800 5 3 5, 1 3 4 5.

SO here's my story. As some of you have read I don't believe too much in the whole Valentines day thing. But that doesn't mean I don't celebrate it!

Though I had to work on Valentine's (thank god!) I still went out on Tuesday night. I went to a Bar i've begun to frequent quite often having now been out in Moriches for several weeks.

Its called Buckley's Irish Pub and its located on County Road 80 in Center Moriches. The bartenders are great. the one I've become most friendly with is John. We actually did a shot of Woo-Woo at Midnight tuesday (into wednesday) to celebrate the fact that we are single. (And on fridays they have live bands and no cover.)

So it was a lot of fun, and worth it. And you know what I realized that its not Single people who have a problem on Valentines Day but coupled people (mostly girls) who have the problem.

I mean I must have gotten atleast 20 odd looks alone just for being in the bar by myself tuesday night and another 10-20 today for going into a restaurant and eating by myself.

Ever see the episode of Frasier where he decides to eat out by himself and its all the restaurant revolves around from then on? Well kind of like that...Only I don't let it get to me.

Well I'm off to Vermont again for the weekend to escape all that is LongIsland weather. But keep those e-mails comming and I'll have a new page for you by next friday.

P.S. - I did actually recieve a present for valentines day this year. It was a pack of ciggarettes from a 'good friend' ;) (you know who you are - thanks, it meant alot.)
