The Public Information Office reports the arrest of an undomiciled man for a Robbery that occurred on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 1:30 PM in Carle Place.
According to Police, Defendant Michael Everett, 63, entered DSW Shoe Warehouse located at 357 Old Country Road and tried on a brand-new pair of sneakers. The defendant then proceeded to pass all points of purchase, with the sneakers on his feet, and exit the store without rendering payment.
A female employee, 43, confronted the defendant who then threatened to stab her, so she
called 911. No weapon was displayed.
Subsequent to the investigation, Officers located the defendant nearby and placed him under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported.
Defendant Michael Everett is charged with Robbery 3 rd Degree, Petit Larceny and Possession of Burglar Tools. He will be arraigned on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
