Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that occurred at an Islip home this morning.
Third Precinct officers responded to 4 Parsons Landing at approximately 6:30 a.m. after a 911 caller reported a man with a gunshot wound outside the home. Upon arrival, officers located a second gunshot victim inside the home.
Following a preliminary investigation, detectives believe William Clifford, 73, apparently shot his wife, Eileen Clifford, 68, to death before apparently killing himself.
