LIGHT ACCUMULATING SNOW TUESDAY MORNING A fast moving system will bring a band of light snow to the area Tuesday morning. A coating to less than 1 inch of snow accumulation is forecast. Roads will become snow covered due to the recent cold weather resulting in slippery travel conditions. Anyone planning to travel Tuesday morning should use extra caution. The accumulating snow will quickly come to an end late morning through midday with temperatures rising into the middle and upper 30s in the afternoon.

Kings Park's 2014 St. Patrick's Day Parade

I bet you can name a bunch of St. Patrick’s Day traditions off the top of your head. Shamrocks, leprechauns, corned beef and cabbage, the list goes on! Here on Long Island we have another big St. Patrick’s Day tradition, and that tradition is St. Patrick’s Day parades! All over Long Island this March you’ll be encountering masses of people decked out from head to toe in green traveling down town streets surrounded by even more people celebrating on the sidewalks cheering them on. It’s the sort of fun that only comes around once a year!
