Start your weekend off with music entertainment on Long Island, including a DooWop oldies show and Get the Led Out as they pay tribute to the great music of Led Zeppelin. There are also plenty of theatrical plays to enjoy, running from drama, comedy to classic children’s tales. Who: DooWop/Rock & Roll Show At Our Lady Of Lourdes Church

Info: Get ready to be entertained with a DooWop oldies show. The show features Tommy Mara and the Crests, Lenny Cocco and the Chimes and Tony V and Time Was. Food and refreshments will also be served.

Who: Get The Led Out At The Paramount
Info: This group of professional rock musicians is dedicated to recreating the recorded music of Led Zeppelin as authentically as possible.

Who: “Stones in his Pockets” At BACCA Arts Center
Info: The show is about a couple of small town Irishmen who hope to hit it big when they are hired as extras for an epic American movie filming in their scenic County Kerry village. The show is performed with two actors portraying a colorful cast of 16 in this rollicking tale that pits harsh reality against Hollywood endings.

Who: Inherit The Wind At BroadHollow Theatre Company At Elmont
Info: The play is set in Tennessee around courtroom drama. It’s based on the 1925 “Monkey Trial” that became famous about John Scopes, a science teacher who was tried and convicted for teaching Darwin’s theory of evolution.

Who: Alone Together At Clare Rose Playhouse At St. Joseph’s College
