Man Arrested After Killing Another Man
Suffolk County Police arrested a Babylon man for attacking and killing another man in Bay Shore last night.
During an altercation, James Rogers struck Mark Iacono multiple times in a parking lot, located at 107 Eat Main St., at approximately 8:45 p.m.
Iacono, 65, of Patchogue, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead. Rogers remained on the scene, where he was arrested.
Following an investigation, Rogers, 66, of 25 Kingsland Place, was charged with Manslaughter 1st Degree. He is being held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
