The Fourth Squad reports the details of an Arrest for an Attempted Burglary that occurred at 5:17am on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in Cedarhurst.
 
According to Detectives, Defendant Thomas E. Taylor, 53, of East Meadow was observed on surveillance camera footage entering the victim’s vehicle and removing property without permission. The Defendant then did open the garage door to the home with the remote located inside the vehicle, entered the garage but left on foot without any additional proceeds. Subsequent to the investigation, Detectives identified the Defendant and at 2:40pm located him in front of 255 Lawrence Avenue Inwood. The Defendant was placed into custody without incident.
 
Defendant Thomas E. Taylor was charged with Attempted Burglary 2 nd Degree and Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
 
Defendant Thomas E. Taylor also had an open Nassau County Bench Warrant from an incident that occurred in Inwood on February 27, 2018 charging him with both Criminal Mischief 2 nd and 4 th Degrees and Petit Larceny.
