The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Central Islip man for multiple Grand Larcenies that occurred in Nassau County from Friday, February 14, 2025 to Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
According to Detectives, defendant Devon D. Barrett, 33, went into nine different victim’s gym lockers, which were unlocked, and took the victims car keys out of the lockers. The defendant then used the keys to enter the victim’s cars and take various items from the cars. In seven of the incidents, the defendant used or attempted to use the victim’s credit cards at nearby locations.

-Tuesday, February 18, 2025, 10:50 am, Blink Fitness, 1789 Grand Avenue, Baldwin
-Tuesday, February 18, 2025, 6:00 pm, L.A. Fitness, 1111 Marcus Avenue, New Hyde Park
-Friday, February 21, 2025, 6:30 pm, Blink Fitness, 1789 Grand Avenue, Baldwin
-Tuesday, February 25, 2025, 8:33 pm, Blink Fitness, 1968 Grand Avenue, Baldwin.
After an extensive investigation, defendant Devon D. Barrett was arrested on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 7:50 pm in Brentwood and charged with eight counts of Grand Larceny 4 th degree, seven counts of Identity Theft 2 nd degree, and two counts of Petit Larceny. He was arraigned on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
