There’s all the talk about March being National Craft Month and the many ideas suited to kids, but what about crafts for pet lovers? We have you covered! Show your love for pets through the crafts you make with these great ideas.

  • Pet Treat Canister
How are you storing treats for your pup? Why not dress up the canister to feature a dog bone like shown at Dream a Little Bigger. All you need is a little spray paint and the bone shape cut-out along with some tape. It’s a simple project for a great look to the canister of treats.

  • Stenciled Eye Glasses Case
Turn a plain eye glasses case into one featuring the silhouette of a cat with rhinestones as seen at Minted Strawberry. The craft seems simple enough to do with a few materials and a stencil available for download.

  • Scottish Terrier Canvas Tote
Take a plain canvas tote and turn it into an adorable tote with this no-sew patch of a Scottish Terrier as shown at Nellie Bellie. All you need is fabric ribbon, heat n bond, scissors and an iron or blow dryer. If you’re more into cats, there’s no stopping you from creating a cat template instead.

  • Recycled Cardboard Kitty Pad
This adorable craft will have your kitty looking like she’s sitting on a tree stump. Create your own cardboard kitty scratch pad simply using recycled cardboard as shown at Design Sponge.

  • Paw Prints
We do it with newborns – an imprint of their adorable hands and feet, well why not do one with your furry friend! As seen at So Not Donna Reed, all you need is a paper plate, a paint brush, paint, paper towel, cardstock and, of course, your pet’s imprint. Soon you’ll have a new piece of art work to hang on the wall.

  • Pet Silhouette Picture
If you want to complete your walls with some pet-friendly art then try this craft from Go Haus Go. Choose whatever pet or animal you love and do an online search for “vector silhouette dogs” or whatever the case may be and you can begin with a few other supplies like transparency film, projector, X-acto knife, colored construction paper, white construction paper, thick adhesive dots and a frame to fit your image.

  • Felted Cat Toy
Want to give your little kitty a new toy? Check out this cool craft project of a felted ball toy at 7 Yaks Design. The design is a perfect toy to resemble the feel of prey, which cats love.
