Suffolk County Police last night arrested three people at two Brentwood businesses with illegal
gambling machines.
 
Following an investigation, Third Precinct Investigative Unit officers, assisted by Third Precinct
Community Response Unit officers, conducted a compliance check at Bueno Deli, located at 134 Heyward St., and Express Gas & Food Mart, located at 1034 Islip Ave., at approximately 7:25 p.m.
 
A total of four illegal gambling machines were discovered and seized. The following arrestees were issued field appearance tickets:
 
• Anelfri Bueno, 51, of Bay Shore, an employee of Bueno Deli, was charged with two counts of
Possession of Gambling Device.
 
• John Martinez, 39, of Brentwood, a patron at Bueno Deli, was charged with Loitering for the
purpose of gambling.
 
• Joginder Singh, 55, of Plainview, an employee of Express Gas & Food Mart, was charged with two counts of Possession of Gambling Device.
 
The arrestees are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
