The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for an incident that occurred on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 4:20 pm in Bellerose Terrace.
 
According to Detectives, Police responded to a Bellerose Terrace residence for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers were informed that the Defendant Angel Casiano, 23, of 385 Fountain Avenue had unlawfully entered a female victim’s residence and broke various items inside her home.
 
Upon further investigation, officers located the subject who attempted to flee the scene on foot but was located nearby. Officers attempted to place the subject into custody when the defendant refused to follow verbal commands and began to make furtive movements towards his waistband. Officers had to utilize an Electronic Control Device (ECD), Taser, which successfully allowed them to place him into custody. The defendant was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
 
Further investigation revealed the defendant is also responsible for three counts of Criminal Mischief from an incident that occurred on January 31, 2024 and a Burglary on August 30, 2024.
 
Defendant Angel Casiano is charged with two counts of Burglary 2 nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 3 rd Degree, three counts of Criminal Mischief 4 th Degree, Petit Larceny, Assault 3 rd Degree, Aggravated Harassment 2 nd Degree, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration. He will be arraigned on Monday, March 17, 2025 in First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
