Suffolk County Police today arrested a man for selling cannabis products at an Eastport store.
In response to community complaints, Seventh Precinct Investigative Unit Officers, along with the New York State Office of Cannabis Management and the Town of Brookhaven, executed a search warrant at Sam’s Eastport Tobacco Shop, located at 498 Montauk Highway, and seized more than 1,470 flavored nicotine vape products, along with THC cartridges, cannabis products, money, cannabis, and materials for packaging cannabis.
An employee of the store, Ricardo Uceda, 21, of Eastport, was charged with Unlawful Sale of Cannabis or Concentrated Cannabis, Unlicensed Cannabis Sale, Sale of Flavored Products, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The business was issued violations from the Office of Cannabis Management and the Town of
Brookhaven. Uceda was released on a Desk Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
