The Third Precinct reports the arrest of a Mount Vernon man for a robbery that occurred on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 6:05 PM in Garden City.
According to Police, officers responded to Nordstrom Rack located at 1040 Old Country Road for a robbery in progress.
Upon arrival, officers were informed by Loss Prevention Agents that the Defendant Darrell Walker, 43, had selected and concealed various items before passing all points of purchase and exiting the store without rendering payment.
When Loss Prevention Agents approached the Defendant a brief struggle ensued.
Officers placed him into custody without further incident. All store merchandise was recovered. No injuries were reported.
The defendant Darrell Walker is charged with Robbery 3rd Degree and Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
