As Long Island begins to thaw from a winter that was often quite chilly, the energy of the first full month of spring is sure to accelerate the melting of any leftover ice! April may be known for its rain showers, but with a packed events schedule to look forward to and warm days ahead, this month should be one of the most memorable throughout local towns.
The best way to welcome spring is with some great events, and thanks to a wide selection of Festivals and Fairs, there is quite a bit to look forward to for children and adults alike. For those that feel a need for speed, April’s Car and Motorcycle Shows will be bringing hundreds of incredible automobiles to local venues. Continuing with the speed theme, runners will find quite a bit to love this month as there are numerous Fun Runs and 5K events to participate in, with many of them raising money for important organizations and charities.
Easter Sunday falls early this year, thus there will be an overwhelming number of delicious Easter Brunches to choose from on April 1st! Last, but certainly not least, Earth Day is on April 22nd, and museums and nature centers on Long Island will be celebrating the occasion with some great nature events.
Clearly, there is no time to waste! Check out the events below to begin to plan a month packed with activities!
