Suffolk County Police today arrested two people for selling alcohol products to underage people during compliance checks in the Third Precinct.
 
In response to numerous community complaints, Third Precinct Crime Section officers conducted an investigation into the sale of alcohol to underage people during which seven businesses were checked for compliance with the law.
 
Vikramjeek Singh, 20, of Bay Shore, an employee of USA Petroleum, located at 95 Moffitt Blvd., Bay Shore was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st Degree for selling alcohol to someone under the age of 21. He was issued a Field Appearance Ticket.
 
Havinder Thiara, 44, of Bellrose, the owner of Sun Shore Liquors, located at 1241 Sunrise Highway, Bay Shore was arrested and charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st Degree and Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree.
 
Singh and Thiara are scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
