Eddie the two-toed sloth is visiting the Tackapausha Museum and Preserve in Seaford and is available for meet and learn encounters. During the personal 40-minute educational session, guests will get an up-close look at this rescue sloth while learning about sloth diet, lifestyle, and behaviors–including why they should not be pets. While guests won’t have an opportunity to hold the sloth, they will be able to feed her, and of course, take plenty of memorable pictures and videos.
Sloth encounters are available for the next couple of weekends only – until she moves to her permanent home -- and limited time slots are available. The encounter is $200 for up to four people. For more information, call the museum at (516) 571-7443 when it is open to the public, Thursday through Sunday, between 11a.m. and 3 p.m. Visit the Tackapausha Museum and Preserve Facebook and Instagram pages to view sloth pictures and learn more about the museum and its programs.
