I hate it. Its Evil, its mean, and downright cruel and inhuman sometimes. I'm talking about the 'Friendship zone'. Its similar to the Twilight Zone, but worse. It's the leperacy of any relationship ability. "You're too good a friend" or "I just don't see you like that" or my absolute favorite "I think what we have is better than that". Geesh, you would think Men would come up with a new form of rejection after all these years of existance. But then again us women, are no better. Do you honestly think they buy that whole "You're such a great guy but..." line? Not a chance.

So now the problem comes along...you've broken that line. You've crossed over the baracades and downright laughed in the faces of all the critics who touted the strict "Don't mix friendships with sex" rules. Because afterall, you're different. you'll beat the odds. And why you may ask? Because you know this time it will be different. See friends, thats the kicker. The people who do this - this hooking up with a friend, expecting that the other will see the potential of the great relationship you two will share and feel just as stongly about you in return - these people do it over and over agian. Trust me, I know.

But then the worst part. You've become such good frineds with this person, that you're now self-proclaimed "best-friends". You even tell each other crap you never told exes or current friends. And you're just so close, but there's no relationship. Because it would ruin the friendship.

But the truth is, its already over. It was over the minute you crossed the line. For some, you can make it out alive. But for the majority of the population, it never works. People get emotionally attached, things get messy, people get upset. Its never a good thing. But as long as you can try to break the cycle, you'll be ok.
