The First Squad reports the arrest of two individuals for an incident that occurred on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 2:17 pm in Uniondale.
According to detectives, officers responded to a call for shots fired on Hill Street. Upon police arrival, officers received a description of a female subject who was with a male subject that removed a gun from his pocket and fired it into the air before fleeing the scene.
Subsequent to the investigation, both subjects were located in front of 32 E Greenwich Avenue, Roosevelt. Defendant Rashawn Jackson, 23, of 527 Henry Street, Lakeview and a female juvenile, 17, were arrested without further incident. During the investigation, officers recovered a Hi-Point 9mm handgun.
Defendant Rashawn Jackson is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2 nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4 th Degree and Reckless Endangerment 1 st Degree. The female juvenile defendant is charged with Criminal
Possession of a Weapon 2 nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4 th Degree. They will be arraigned on Monday, April 8, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
