Kids Can Learn About Rabbits at Tackapausha's Online Presentation

Written by Andrew Hazen  |  14. April 2020

The Easter Bunny may have shown up at your house today, but children can learn about some other bunnies and visit the Tackapausha Museum and Preserve’s Facebook page and meet Basil and Peppermint, two domestic rabbits. The museum had a Facebook live presentation yesterday starring these two “hoppy” friends. The presentation is less than ten minutes long and is a fun way for kids to learn facts about the rabbits’ diet, fur, and those amazing ears.

The Tackapausha Museum and Preserve Museum and Preserve is located at 2225 Washington Avenue in Seaford. The museum has over 100 different live animals and features displays about the ecology of Long Island, as well as animal exhibits and shows and interactive activities for children. The museum is temporarily closed to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic. To watch the presentation, visit the museum’s Facebook page.
