The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that both directions of Sunrise Highway (State Route 27) will be closed at Exit 39 (Hubbards Path) in the Town of Babylon, Suffolk County on Friday, April 14 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting, to facilitate a concrete bridge deck replacement project.  All lanes will be detoured onto the Service Roads during the closure.

Motorists are urged to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
