First Precinct Patrol officers, while performing patrol duties, observed an X-Pro Dirt Bike driving recklessly at a high rate of speed on Mount Avenue, driving on the opposite side of traffic, and disobeying multiple traffic control devices, at approximately 7:15 p.m. After observing the reckless behavior, officers took the dirt bike operator into custody at 97 New Ave.
 
Talique Carter, 34, of 97 New Ave., Wyandanch, was charged with Reckless Driving, Criminal
Possession of a Controlled Substance, and several vehicle and traffic law violations. The dirt bike was impounded.
 
Carter was issued a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
