The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred at 3:40 am on Sunday, April 23, 2023 in West Hempstead.
According to Detectives, a male, 41, was traveling southbound on Nassau Boulevard, near Harless Place, in his 2015 Hyundai Elantra when he crossed over the double yellow lane markings and into the northbound lane. He collided with a 2019 Hyundai Sonata, operated by a 26-year-old male who was traveling northbound on Nassau Boulevard.
The 41-year-old male was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased by a hospital physician.
The 26-year-old male remained at scene and was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
