Eighth Squad Detectives from the Nassau County Police Department are currently investigating a robbery that occurred at a 7-11 convenience store located at 4220 Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage, New York, on Saturday, May 13, 2023. The robbery took place at approximately 1:40 am.
 
According to the detectives, an unknown male suspect entered the 7-11 store and brandished a knife, demanding cash from the male employee on duty. The employee complied with the suspect's demands, opening the register and allowing the suspect to remove an undisclosed amount of US currency. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, and his current whereabouts are unknown.
 
Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. However, the robbery has left employees and customers at the store shaken and concerned for their safety.
 
The suspect is described as a white male with a medium build, wearing dark clothing and a surgical mask. The detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
