Engage in a conversation about mental health and find support and resources at a free Mental Health & Wellness Seminar presented by Supervisor Don Clavin and the Hempstead Town Board. The seminars, which are being held throughout the Town of Hempstead, will be led by a panel of local health professionals and will focus on:
- Helping adolescents and adults who are struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues
- The lingering effects and long-term health issues stemming from COVID-19
- Keeping First Responders mentally strong post-COVID
The seminars are being held throughout the town on the following dates:
- Tuesday, May 24, at 7 PM - Hempstead Town Hall, Nathan L.H. Bennett Pavilion (1 Washington St., Hempstead)
- Wednesday, May 25, at 7 PM - Elmont Memorial Library (700 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont)
- Thursday, June 2, at 7 PM - Levittown Hall (201 Levittown Parkway, Hicksville)
- Tuesday, June 14, at 7 PM - Rockville Centre Recreation Center (111 North Oceanside Rd., Rockville Centre)
- Thursday, June 16, at 7 PM - Valley Stream Village Hall (123 South Central Ave., Valley Stream)

The Town of Hempstead is proud to host these free Mental Health and Wellness Seminars to help people who continue to struggle in the aftermath of the pandemic, and we encourage anyone in need of assistance to join us.”
