What: The village of Islandia will host a Memorial Day ceremony in front of the memorial at the Veterans Memorial Triangle, located at the intersection of Old Nichols Road and Johnson Avenue. There will be an invocation and then the ceremonial placing of the wreaths.

During the ceremony, the U.S. Marine Corps Helicopter Squadron 361 in Cutchogue will perform a flyby over the memorial in a Sikorsky UH-34D helicopter.

Directions: LIE to Exit 58 South (Old Nichols Road). Go down Old Nichols Road for approximately 0.6 mile. Triangle is on the left.
