Brooklyn Woman Arrested for DWI After Collision with Police Car in Farmingdale

The Public Information Office reports the arrest of a Brooklyn female for DWI that occurred on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 2:39 a.m. in Farmingdale.
 
According to Police, a marked Patrol car was heading south on Main Street when the Officer observed a 2013 Ford Focus make an illegal U-turn. The Ford Focus then struck the driver side of the marked Patrol car. One Officer received an injury to his wrist as a result of the accident and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.
 
The Ford Focus was driven by Joselyn Rodriguez, 22, of 130 3 rd Avenue who was uninjured and appeared to be intoxicated. After a further investigation, defendant Rodriguez was arrested without incident.
 
Defendant Rodriguez is charged with multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations, Aggravated DWI, and Assault 3 rd Degree. She will be arraigned on Monday, June 5, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
