Teen Pedestrian in Critical Condition After Being Struck by SUV in Bethpage
The Eighth Squad reports the details of a Serious Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 3:55 pm in Bethpage.
According to detectives, a female pedestrian, 16, was struck at the intersection of Stewart Avenue and Burkhardt Avenue by a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe being operated by a 40-year-old female traveling northbound on Stewart Avenue.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment and evaluation. She is listed in critical but stable condition.
The driver remained at scene and no further injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
