Suffolk County Police arrested two men after they stabbed a man and his teenage son in Copiague yesterday.
A man and his son were working as contractors at a residence, located at 286 44th St., when they were involved in an altercation with two of the residents of the home at approximately 5:30 p.m. The residents, a 34-year-old father and his 16-year-old son, were both stabbed during the altercation. The contractors fled the scene in a work van and called 911 from a nearby gas station to report the incident.
The victims were transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Suffolk County Police First Precinct officers took the contractors into custody a short time later at Valero gas station, located at 3359 Great Neck Road, in Copiague.
Selvin Mills, 50, and Savion Mills, 19, both of Deer Park, were each charged with Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
They are being held overnight and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on June 8.
