Six People Arrested for Selling Tobacco to an Underage Person

Suffolk County Police arrested six people for selling Tobacco products to persons under 21 during compliance checks at businesses in the Fourth Precinct.
 
In response to community complaints, Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Community Support Unit and Anticrime Officers conducted an investigation into the sale of vape tobacco products to underage persons at twenty businesses. Routine compliance checks were conducted between May 25 and June 8.
 
The following people were charged:
· Samuel A. Rivera, 18, of Central Islip, employed at Convenient Smoke Shop, 204 Smithtown Blvd., Nesconset, charged with Suffolk County Code - Sale of Tobacco to Person Under Age 21 and Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 2nd Degree.
 
· Yusyf Kilic, 23, of Brooklyn, New York, employed at Exotic Tobacco Shop, 207 Terry Road,
Smithtown, charged with Suffolk County Code - Sale to Person Under Age 21 and Possession of Cannabis 2nd Degree.
 
· Chaudhary Mustafa, 21, of Bay Shore, employed at Krypton Smoke Shop, 260 Smithtown Blvd., Nesconset, charged with Suffolk County Code - Sale to Person Under Age 21.
 
· Shoaib Ikram, 37, of Port Jefferson, employed at 76 Gas Station, 440 Hawkins Ave., Lake
Ronkonkoma, charged with Suffolk County Code - Sale to Person Under Age 21.
 
· Imran Butt, 48, of Ronkonkoma, employed at 76 Gas Station, 440 Hawkins Ave., Lake Ronkonkoma, charged with Suffolk County Code - Sale to Person Under Age 21.
 
· Joshua Karris, 19, of Medford, employed by M&H Tobacco Shop, 407 Hawkins Ave., Lake
Ronkonkoma, charged with Suffolk County Code - Sale to Person Under Age 21.
 
The other businesses involved in the investigation complied and refused the sale of vape tobacco to underage persons.
 
All six arrestees were issued Field Appearance Tickets and are scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
