Westbury Man Arrested for Public Lewdness at Local Church; Police Seek Additional Victims

A 31-year-old Westbury man was arrested for public lewdness at the Church of the Advent and is set to appear in court on June 20, with police urging any additional victims to come forward.

The Public Information Office reports the arrest of a Westbury man for Public Lewdness that occurred on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 4:34 PM in Westbury.
 
According to Officers, Defendant Neil Nembhard, 31, of 514 Queens Street was at the Church of the Advent located at 555 Advent Street where he was observed by a male victim, 58, exposing himself and touching his genitals in the rear of this location. After a thorough investigation, the defendant was located and placed under arrest without incident.
 
Defendant Neil Nembhard is charged with one count of Public Lewdness. He was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable on Thursday, June 20, 2024 to First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
