Man Found Unresponsive in Pool on Long Island

Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating after a man was found unresponsive in a West Islip swimming pool earlier this evening.
 
Third Precinct officers responded to a 911 call reporting a man found unresponsive in a swimming pool, located at 105 Graywood Court, at approximately 6 p.m. Akinola Johnson was found by a family member and pulled out of the water. Family started CPR until first responders arrived on scene.
 
Johnson, 45, a resident of the home, was transported via ambulance to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip in critical condition.
