Roosevelt Man Arrested After Assaulting Officer During Violent Arrest
First Squad Detectives reports the arrest of a Roosevelt man for the Assault of an Officer that occurred on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 5:50 PM in Roosevelt.
According to Detectives, Defendant Shabez Hall, 30, violated an order of protection by entering the victims residence. Upon Police arrival, Officers attempted to place defendant Shabez Hall into custody. An Officer sustained an injury during the course of the arrest as the defendant was violent and combative while resisting arrest. The Officer was transported to a local area hospital for treatment and evaluation.
Defendant Hall is charged with Assault 2 nd Degree, Criminal Contempt 2 nd Degree and Resisting Arrest. He will be arraigned on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
