LONG ISLAND FILMMAKERS TO APPEAR AT WORLD PREMIERE OF DAVID MICHALEK'S
Michael J. Arbouet and Larry Strong, filmmakers from Hempstead, Long Island have been working in the entertainment industry for well over 15 years. They have worked with top actors such as Nikki Reed, DJ Qualls, William Sadler, Melissa Leo and Roger Guenveur Smith. Both men also sit on the advisory board of the Long Island International Film Expo.
The two have traded places with the actors they love work with to be in front of the camera as featured artists for Portraits in Dramatic Time, conceived and directed by David Michalek. Portraits in Dramatic Time will have its world premiere as part of the Lincon Center Festival 2011. The installation will feature large-scale, hyper-slow motion performance-portraits of an eclectic list of artists both well-known and under-recognized.
Each video will be shown on an 85 feet wide by 45 feet high screen, hung on the facade of the David H. Koch Theater facing Josie Robertson Plaza. The installation will run from dusk to 11:45 p.m. each evening from July 5-31.
Arbouet and Strong are proud to be a part of this event and are available for a interview. Please contact 646-389-3478 to set up a time that is convenient.
