Pit Bulls and Trespassers: Trio Arrested for Illegal Squatting in New Hyde Park Residence

Three individuals were arrested for squatting in a New Hyde Park home, where five pit bulls were also removed.

The Third Squad reports the arrests of three individuals for an incident that occurred on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 4:10 pm in New Hyde Park.
 
According to Officers, Third Precinct Police responded to 109 Evans Street for possible squatters in a deceased neighbor’s residence. Upon arrival it was determined that Juan Marte, 19, of 23 Gilchrest Road, Thomaston, Dionny Quiroz, 33, of 75 East Raymond Road, Roosevelt and Natalie Bautista, 19, unknown address, were residing in the residence illegally.
 
All three were placed into police custody without incident. The Town of North Hempstead Animal Control removed five pit
bulls from the residence and they were transported to the North Hempstead Animal Shelter.
 
All three defendants are charged with Criminal Trespass 2 nd Degree. They will be arraigned on Friday, June 21, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
