Man Seriously Injured While Using Fireworks
Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating an incident during which a man was seriously injured while using fireworks last night in Brentwood.
Barry Nelson was in the yard of his residence, located at 71 Eastern Ave., when a firework exploded, severing his left hand and three fingers of his right hand at approximately 9 p.m. Nelson, 66, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious condition.
