A list of just five of our favorite taco joints on Long Island. No day is a bad day for tacos!

Pecado – Try the Barbacoa, slow cooked Oaxaca style beef barbacoa, onions, radish, cilantro, salsa verde, corn tortilla. Location: 49 West Main Street, Bay Shore.

Dirty Taco + Tequila – Try their Kung Pao Chicken Taco.  Crispy wontons, queso fresco, scallions, crumbled peanuts, pickled chili. Multiple locations across Long Island.

Tommy Tacos – Their June Taco of the Month is The Industry. Chile rubbed smoked beef brisket, melted Monterey jack cheese topped with Mexican street corn elote drizzled with garlic crema and cilantro.Location: 821 New York Ave, Huntington.

Homemade Taqueria – Try the Al Pastor Taco. Grilled diced pork marinated in a blend sauce cooked with onions and chopped pineapples. Location: 243 Fulton Ave, Hempstead.

Frida’s – Chose from their many taco options including tacos clasicos, three crispy or soft taco shells filled with your choice of chicken, or ground beef, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and Mexican cheese and taco sauce or Frida’s street tacos, three soft corn tortillas with your choice of grilled skirt steak, chicken, chorizo or shrimp, topped with cilantro and onions and served with a homemade Mexican street salsa.
