Written by Long Island  |  13. July 2023

Update: The New York State Humane Association is adding $1,000 reward to the reward offered by the Suffolk County SPCA for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for killing and decapitating goats in what appears to be a satanistic ritual.

The reward is now $3,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible. Anyone with information, please call Suffolk County SPCA.

The Suffolk County SPCA was called on Thursday, June 29, 2023 by the Suffolk County Police Department to respond to the scene of a grisly find. The remains of 2 decapitated goats were found in black plastic bags at 96 Broadhollow Road, in Farmingdale, in what the Suffolk SPCA Detectives described as a "ritualistic sacrifice."

This discovery was found in the rear of Burger King, along with other items that would suggest a ritualistic animal sacrifice , Roy Gross, Chief of the Suffolk County SPCA said.

The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for this barbaric act of animal cruelty for unjustifiably harming, mutilating or killing an animal.

All too many times these gruesome finds are discovered not only by adults but occasionally by children. These acts of violence must stop now!

Chief Gross said that animal cruelty will not be tolerated in Suffolk County. If you witness any incident of animal cruelty or neglect in Suffolk County please contact the Suffolk County SPCA at (631) 382-7722.
