Travesties at Bay Steet Theater June 24 - July 20!
The Tony Award-Winning Comedy Travesties is Now Running at Bay Street
Travesties, a Tony Award-winning comedy written by Tom Stoppard celebrates its 40th anniversary from June 24 to July 20 at Bay Street Theater! Set in both 1917 and 1974 in Zurich, Switzerland, this play fantasizes how a British consul named Henry Carr meets some of the most famous figures of the 20th century—including Lenin, James Joyce, and Tristan Tzara—through an amateur production of The Importance of Being Earnest. Travesties is a theatrical extravaganza with the wit of Oscar Wilde joined by song-and-dance, strip-tease, pie-fights, and brilliant wordplay!

This Week's Best Long Island Events
4th Annual "Ben Lupia" Fluke Tournament
Head down to the Hampton Bays Fire Department this Saturday, July 12th for the 4th Annual "Ben Lupia" Fluke Tournament between 7 AM-3 PM. The tournament will feature a live band, door prizes, a Chinese auction, a raffle and a silent auction. Held rain or shine!
German American Festival
Bring the entire family down to the German American Festival this Saturday at Plattduetsche Park from 1-11 PM! The event will be held indoors and outdoors at the new Beer Hall. Enjoy live bands, German food and beer, games, a magician and dancing!
Fireworks at Centennial Park
Enjoy some fireworks and a live concert along Mill River Park on Saturday, July 12th at 6:00 PM. Along with fireworks, indulge in some delicious food and listen to entertainment followed by a performance by The South Shore Symphony at 7:45 PM. Rain date is Sunday, July 13th.
A Carnival of Daylillies
The Long Island Daylily Society is presenting "A Carnival of Daylillies" this Sunday, July 13th at 1:30 PM. Registered daylillies will be judged by American Hemerocallis Society. There is an $8 parking fee, admission to the carnival is free!

The Long Island International Film Expo Runs from July 9 - July 17!
The17th Annual Long Island International Film Expo celebrates the best in independent film making. This year the festival features 158 short and feature-length independent films from 32 countries, including 37 films from right here on Long Island. There will also be free panel discussions, networking opportunities, a filmmaker breakfast, and other fun festivities! Dubbed "One of the Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World" by MovieMaker Magazine, LIIFE provides over a week’s worth of opportunities to see a wide variety of independent films!
